Favorite Verses

As you all probably know, I love and cherish a good Bible verse. I am sharing a few of my favorites in my new blog series, "The Greatest Verses of All Time". I would also like for you all to share your favorites and their significances. The word of God inspires many a good story, and I would love to hear yours.

My favourite bible verse is Revelation chapter 19, and pslam 23 and Psalm 145

Matt. 8:28: "What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"

I love this verse. Pure poetry. Never ceases to give me goosebumps. It so clearly shows the deity of Christ in that the very powers of nature submits to Him.

Isaiah 30:18
18And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!

This is to my mind the very representation of my Gods nature.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

And this is what he gave me, no more depression, no more fear, praise forever be his name!

25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.


And this is the security he has given me in such a turbulent world.
