candy..
A relationship with Jesus is like that of a parent and his kid.. It is a very limited analogy though cos most of us have nightmares for parents but it is supposed to be like that. I think that the picture of a kid borne in a woman's belly for 9 months and the care and love that the woman gives to this kid is just an inkling of what a relationship with Jesus is like. It is an exciting celebration of a home that you can totally trust, a hiding place of safety, a home that you are not afraid to be who you are even when who you are is you failing and knowing in your heart that you want to do better and give your all to him cos he is there and wants to help you..
Mostly this cannot be put in words but this is what i think it is like..
cheers, God bless
( i think that you may be Afrikaans, since the word 'skool' are at the end - if so,welkom in ons midde!)
I've just read your story and it touched my heart so much, especially the part ' a home that you are not afraid to be who you are" wow - it stunning - isn't it amazing to know that!? I mean i don't know about you, but at times i'm not totally myself when i'm at home - in that way Shakespear were right that in his saying "All the world a stage" at times in our lives we hide beneath our mask to afraid to show our true selves.
I were just laying in bed with my mom and i were asking her to say something, but she said to me - i don't have anything too tell you. In that moment (my heart were acking) and i were thinking why don't we ever talk about Jesus or have bible study together. we are always talking about other stuff, but never about the most inportant things.
Well, thanks for sharing your story with me and al of us.
I am African but not Afrikaans.. I am from West Africa.. but yeah Shakespeare was right the world is too often a stage and we all come here and play our part and off we go.. But By Christ Jesus we (Christians) are not here to hide ourselves and who we are.. I am not ashamed of the gospel and it is my duty to make certain that i share what God puts in my heart to share, boldly.. Hold on my dear friend.. you can have that home in your personal sanctuary with Jesus. He knows me and all my faults and thoughts and he is still here with me.. I love him and our santuary..
God bless and
cheers...
