Things are getting harder and harder. You do the right thing and you always seen to fall short and bad things happen, How do you keep the faith and not stray from the Lord.
Rochelle,
I've been a Christian for many years & been throught many trials, heartaches, disappointments, made a lot of mistakes & had a lot of regrets. When I was a young mother, sometimes I would get very discouraged & frustrated & start to think God didn't care.
The thing that saved me time & time again was the Spirit of God wooing me and the Word of God that was hid in my heart.
I knew that the Lord promised never to leave me. That He is for me, not against me. That God tempts no man. That nothing is impossible to those who believe. That I was to count it all joy when I fall into trials & temptation, because It would grow me up in the fruits of the Spirit & the character of Christ. That there is NOTHING we go through that Christ himself did not suffer. That He lives ALWAYS to make intercession for us. That we can cast ALL our cares on Him, because He cares for us. That God knows the thoughts He has for me, thoughts not to harm me, but to give me a future & a hope! He is the God who heals me. My strength when I am weak. My deliverer. My strong tower. (these are just a few.)
(I can look the scriptures up later, if you like.)
Sweet lady, don't be offended at God. It's Satan that wants to destroy your life. Run to the Father & cry for help! He wants to give you victory! As your mind is renewed in the Word of God, it will get easier to trust Him. There will always be things to overcome in life until Jesus comes back! We must stand strong. I don't know the severity of your troubles, but God does. I will pray for you.
Keeping faith is not always easy for me. But I tend to read my bible. Sometimes my attitude is all wrong but I keep reading anyway. I've grown accustomed to doing this, but like I said it is not an easy task, especially when everything seems endless. Sometimes I just listen to worship songs or songs that relate to my situation. There are alot of battles going on, in everybodies life, just stay strong.

There are four things that I recommend for us to be invovled in regularly. These four help to strengthen us when things are going well and help us overcome when things are difficult. These four are 1) Read the Word 2) Prayer 3) Positive Christian Fellowship 4) An Accountability Partner or Group.
1) The Word: When times are tough I like to read Colossians and 1 John. They inspire me, pick me up and help me to see past my current storm, which will pass.
2) Prayer: We need to be in prayer seeking the Lord's presence and comfort, while crying out to Him in our difficult times as well as good times. He tells us to come to the throne of grace in our time of need. The door is open and He is always waiting attentively to meet with us when we come to Him. Remember that part of prayer is silently sitting at His feet listening for what He wants to say or reveal to you. It is not all about talking, but communicating.
3) Positive Christian Fellowship: We are referred to as sheep for a reason in the Bible. We need each other. There are no Lone Ranger Christians. When we feel beat up and down our natural response is to run and hide, which is the worst possible choice at that very time. We need the love, comfort and fellowship of fellow believers that are traveling the same path we are in life. Do not stop at one church if it is not right for you. Seek until you find the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit come over you in the midst of that group.
4) Accountability: We need people close to us that we can share with. These people have to be people that we can trust and open up to. They are not "Yes" people, but ones that will ask the difficult questions and loving challenge us when we are wrong and encourage us when we have victories. One must seek God's guidance as to who one might choose as an accountability partner. One must choose wisely.
Know that the current storm you are going through will pass and you will be stronger for it. That does not lessen the pain, but there is hope even in the middle of the storm, for Jesus can and will calm the storm at the right moment if you are trusting and walking with Him.
Stay strong my sister in christ keep your eyes focused on the lord because he promises you peace! It is written in his word he is not a liar ( Satan is). Stay in the word think happy and positive thoughts and this too shall pass. God bless you and your family with the love of God.
I GO THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD AND MEDITATE .EVERY DAY I SPEAK TO HIM IN PRAYING ,I GO TO CHURCH AND MIX MY SELF WITH PEOPLE WHO SPEAK HIS WORD ALL THE TIME .I REMEMBER ONE DAY I WAS DEPRESSED , STRESSED AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I CLOSED MY BEDROOM AND LIGHT MY WHITE CADDLES AND STOOD IN MY BED AND I TALKED TO HIM WHILE I WAS TALKING TO HIM I FELT ASLEEP I HAD SOMEBODY LIFTING MY BODY ,IS LIKE MY BODY WAS IN THE AIR BUT I COULD NOT OPEN MY EYES ,SO WHEN I WOKE UP I COULD FEEL THE WHOLY SPIRIT WAS IN MY BEDROOM.GOD IS GOD WHO LISTEN,WATCH AND WHO ANSWER OUR PRAYERS AND HE ALWAYS DIRECT US IN A RIGHT WAY ALL THE TIME.ALWAYS THANK HIM FOR EVERY THING YOU GOT AND ASK HIM TO BRING YOU AN ANGEL WHO WILL BE YOUR FRIEND.PSLM 23 GO THROUGH THAT WORD EVERY DAY IT WILL LIFT YOU UP.

Hi Ma'am Rochelle,
Good Day!
Here's my reverse questions to you, that i think could help you answer your question, just answer of these following questions bit-by-bit. thanks.
1. How much u know about yourself?
2. How often you talk to yourself?
3. Did you really hear your heartbeats? Have you hear the art of your heart?
4. What can you say about good and bad things/situations/doings?
5. What verse in the Bible are you holding now? Mine is (1 Corinthians 13:1-8,13)
6. Have you noticed the small blessings that God gave to you? How you appreciate it?
7. During your trouble, have you ask Him like this, "What did you want for me to learn?" I tell you, God wants us to learn.
8. How you limit yourself and your ideas? Remember God made us have no limitation, we only limit ourselves. That's why we have freedom.
9. How many times you cried in the front of church and talk with Him? I tell you, He rejoices because of your heartaches and weak body, through that He hardened and made you wonderful like a gold.
10. LOVE - how did define that? how you love your children, your friends, neighbor ,yourself and God? How....?
11. How you stand to your beliefs and does your beliefs are in line with God's mind?
12. How often you say "Thank You" to our God?
13. How you live your life? I mean what keep you moving?
Ma'am tell me if you answered those questions, and i tell you what I could help for you.
I Just want to share to you, I'll answer the last question. What keep me moving is the "Three (3) FFF's - Fact, Faith, & Feel". Just like the (1 Corinthians 13:1-8,13) Hope, Faith & Love. But the highest of all is LOVE.
FACT - What's Fact on this world? based on Bible for me, the genuine Fact is the "Word of God" - I can't remember what verse but it says that "everything in this world will be gone but my words are not", it something like that.
FAITH - based on Wikipedia, faith is a belief in the trustworthiness of an idea. It's true, coz when we say idea its only in our mind, which means we can't see but its there. So, Faith is believing the unseen things. How you believe in the words/promises of God?
FEEL - now i ask you, have you felt the result/effect of our Faith? If you tell me, you just only feel sufferings and hurtful circumstances, I tell you that God is still working on you. If you're not happy in this world (Earth) He prepared your lifetime happiness with Him in Heaven. Remember the most holy and blessed people they ended their life in this world in very heartrending situation such as; (John was imprisoned and beheaded, Paul have been beheaded at Rome, and Peter have been crucified under him (Ecclesiastical History 2:25), and most of all Jesus was crucified). Through your faith you must be ready to your each and everyday life, by holding the Lord's promise for your lifetime happiness in eternal life.
