How Can We Help AllAboutGOD.net Grow?

I'm interested in finding out what we can do to help TheNET grow faster both in terms of numbers of members and the number of people interacting online at the same time.

On average we see 7 new members every day and about 8 online at once.

Is there something we should change or do that we aren't doing now?

Is there something we are doing that we should stop doing?

New members or visitors, what are your first impressions of TheNET?

Hi Greg,

As a moderator and greeter here on TheNET, I have a few more ideas after reading some of the responses.

...Perhaps we should also have a group of follow up moderators
...Page design moderators
...Volunteers who can handle the technical stuff.
~So far I have a link for the bible study,
...how about a link for the womens group (The men's group for Joe-Gil).
...a link for the chat as a lot of people don't even know that there is one.
...It would be helpful to have other links accessible as well, many people may feel reserved and perhaps overwhelmed to jump into such a big family.

These are just a few thoughts. Let us continue to lift each other up in prayer. The purpose here is to treat others as we want to be treated, and to Love others as God Loves us. We must continue to live out of the overflow of God's Love.

Interesting to see the contributions here on this forum!
As a person who received All about God emails long before the site and was introduce to this site, there was just one thing in my heart, wow, Thank you Lord now we can share the gospel and the love of God with a whole bunch of people all over the world.
Technically I am not that up to date with the latest technology and all i would like to see changed is how we can limit the use of MB when we linked to the Net. If it can be done and how, I dont know, but that is my main complain at this stage technically.
This site is All about God - what HE has done for us, why He has done it, what He has in store for us, what He wants to bless us with, how we can deal with terrible times in our lives, where is God when we need Him,what is dream for us, and the best that He is coming soon to lift us to the heavens to stay for eternity!
What is it about furthermore? - here we warn people about the stealing, destroying, and killing of the enemy, making them aware if needed of the works of the evil one, for surely he is here to try and ruin what God has established.
And we have this site to interact with people needing prayer, teaching by the Word fo God , the Bible and even through the All about God site's very intellectual, inspiring and word funded articles, encouragement and above all sharing the love of our lover of our soul Jesus Christ with others!!
There is so much hurt in this world and so many people doesn't have the boldness to seek help when needed from their local people but here they become family and they tend to grow in a trustworthy position with people and sharing their inmost secrets and by doing that we can pray for each other and rely on Gods wisdom to help them in their situations.
Everything we do must be to the honour and glory of God so that we do not boast.
I just love our family here and if I can do this full time as a ministry i will surely do it, for showing Gods love throughout the earth is such a privilege.
Helping the Net grow doesn't always mean in numbers, that is always an advantage, for the more we can reach and share the Gospel, the better, but helping this site grow spiritually must be the main and ultimate point of view.

I agree that internet bandwidth is a problem. All the images, videos and additions like the chatbox and picture viewers tend to make it load slow. I wonder if we need to remove some things from the MAIN page to make it load faster. What do you guys think?

Perhaps it would be an idea to remove the chatbox on the main page but keep it on the specific group dedicated to it? But make a noticable link from the main page to the chatbox. That way more people know there is indeed a chatroom and allows the main page to load faster.

I agree with the basic idea of structured services (chat on its own page with links to that "service") That would likely improve performance also.

Greg I also was thinking that on the Allaboutgod.com home page there should be a link and information about the net.
